Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. As August draws to a close, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible events and achievements that marked this month at our school.

We began with the celebration of Tiger’s Day at a local society compound, where our primary students led the event beautifully. Their efforts were applauded by local dignitaries who graced the occasion. Our senior students took the lead in a rally for the cause, while the younger ones captivated the audience with a poignant skit and dance performance that highlighted the perspective of tigers suffering due to human exploitation. Their performances were not only entertaining but also raised awareness about this crucial issue.

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour, and the spirit of patriotism was palpable in the dance performances. Each segment of our school participated with enthusiasm. Our students’ deep sense of national pride shone through in their acts and performances.

The month also saw joyful celebrations of our festivals that keep us rooted and imbibe cultural values. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, our students crafted DIY rakhis and tied them to their teachers. For Janmashtami, we organised a traditional Dahi Handi event for senior students, accompanied by energetic dance performances. 

Our 9th and 10th-grade students had the unique opportunity to visit the College of Military Engineering, where they gained valuable insights into training of the Combat Engineers, Military Engineering Service, Border Roads Engineering Services, and Survey Operations. They also had the unique opportunity to meet the rowing coach who trains cadets for the Asian Games and Olympics.

As we look ahead, we are excited about the upcoming month filled with celebrations, including Teachers' Day, Ganesh Utsav, the Investiture Ceremony, and the Leadership Lecture Series. At GIIS Balewadi, we are living each day with utmost enthusiasm and anticipation.
