Excitement was in the air as GIIS Balestier Campus held its Annual Day celebrations on August 24, 2014. Beaming children strutted in mind blowing costumes as the audience cheered and music roared. 

True to the theme, ‘Colours of the Rainbow’, the stage lit up with a colourful line of impressive performances produced by three different segments of the school. There was never a dull moment with dazzling dances to pulsating beats, sweet singing and stunning skits, all combined with a good measure of creativity and hard work. 

Strong messages of peace, conservation of Earth@aps@s resources, and moral values like honesty and sharing with others were communicated through humorous skits and upbeat dance movements. Circus and orchestra performances unfolded with a professional touch. Proud parents thoroughly enjoyed the performances by their children who displayed confidence and self esteem in every performance.

The progress of GIIS in different areas, including achievements of students, and the unique philosophy of the school were outlined by Ms Melissa Maria, Principal, GIIS Balestier Campus with a riveting audio-visual presentation. 

Guests of Honour for the different segments included Mrs  Phillomena Thomas, Mr  Vijaykumar, and Mr Gulati who shared their memorable experiences with the audience. The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Mr  Atul Termunikar, Co-Founder and Chairman, Global School Foundation; Mr  Rajiv Vasudeva, Country Director (Singapore), GIIS; and Mr Kaustubh Bodhankar, Deputy CEO, Global Schools Foundation.

The grand finale fittingly capped the show when the school prefects unravelled the school’s core values and campus@aps@ motto, Learning a Delight.
