The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Center (NSCBICC) buzzed with infectious excitement as students, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate Hindi Diwas 2026 on 19 September 2026. GIIS KL students took the stage by storm, delivering unforgettable performances across multiple competitions and walking away with top honors.

The spotlight shone brightly on the talented ensemble of Standard 5 through Standard 8 students, who brought the house down with their inventive Hindi skit, "Hindi Bhasha Ke Superhero." The story kicked off with a hilarious galactic twist: two curious aliens landed on Earth searching for the ultimate language superheroes. To their surprise, literary legends Munshi Prem Chand and Mahadevi Verma appeared on stage, showcasing their literary superpowers by tackling every question the extraterrestrials threw at them. The drama built to a majestic finale with the grand appearance of Hindi Devi herself. Supported by striking backdrops, seamless sound effects, and stellar acting, the play beautifully captured the rich history of Hindi literature, earning GIIS KL a well-deserved first-place victory over competing schools.

The winning streak continued in the primary division, where our young spelling wizards from Standard 1 to Standard 4 dominated the highly competitive ICC Spell Bee Competition. Showing incredible vocabulary skills, razor-sharp focus, and unwavering confidence, GIIS students out-spelled tough competition from various schools to capture both 1st and 3rd positions.

Beyond the trophies, the event served as a wonderful platform for nurturing stage presence, boosting public speaking confidence, and fostering a deep appreciation for culture and language. Guided by dedicated Hindi department teachers Ms. Sapna Puri and Ms. Prachi Soni, our students demonstrated that language learning can be an extraordinary adventure, and that GIIS KL's young talents are true superheroes in every sense!
