Hi all,

The month of February was full of activities and celebrations. The month of February is the one where on one side in CBSE segment, the entire school is gearing up for final exams up-to middle school with a chain of pre-boards for classes 10th and 12th, on other side CAMB gets busy with mocks and getting senior students ready for upcoming  IGCSE Exams. Amidst all these sequence of revisions and mental readiness for the coming up finals ,Feb 2021 had been the month for GIISKL team as a month of rejuvenation and celebrations. This had been the month where all the students of CBSE and Pre-primary have got opportunity to showcase solidarity, hard work and coordination in the form of various sports and cultural events, unconventionally on online platform.

To begin in row of celebrations ,this month gave us a sense of Pride and satisfaction with the greatest news breaking up about Ms Manasa Varanasi our 2011-2012 batch alumni  making all of us proud by bagging the title of Miss India World in Prestigious Miss India Contest held on 10th February 2021. Her achievements strengthened our beliefs on 9 gems doctrine for holistic development of our students simultaneously when we work on minute aspects to nurture humanity revolving around our core value system of MAHATMA .

To continue connecting and creating ambassadors ,GIISKL has strong alumni connect with our old students which is getting strengthened day by day. We  organized an advisory session with an alumnus on  6th of February 2021, regarding higher studies. This session was organized to brief the students of Grade 12 about life beyond school. Mr. Austin Julius was invited to take part in this session. These kind of activities not only connect Alumni’s with school and make them feel precious but also benefit our students with experiences of our ex students who are marking a niche over others on social and professional platforms. There were some more alumni sessions conducted in later part of the month to establish strong ties and continue exchange of ideas .

Celebrations… just need a state of mind and if the mind is strong we can celebrate in any kind of environment , GIIS KL team celebrated Chinese new year online irrespective of  restrictions because of MCO as protective COVID Measure .The Chinese new .year is welcomed with happiness ,wishes and blessings sparking new energy into everyone’s mind where we hope all the happiness is waiting for us to be embraced .

Since last March ,when the entire school went on online platform of academics with  online activities intermingled in timetable ,everyone was looking for the day to come and we are back onto face to face platform and would participate in yearly recurring  celebrations  in school under much awaited school events like sports day and annual day  .Situations may or may not change as per our wishes and desires but we as leaders  we need to be adaptable to the highest  possible level to change the situation as per our need and  to achieve the best .The ideation started from November beginning and the teams started working in December which was a vacation period for all teachers .Unconditional motivation took everyone to a level to realise the dream .The dream of having cultural and sports events but online .It was not easy with limitations and restriction of devices ,gadgets ,time ,accessibility and striking a chord .Believe you me ,all this was materialized with the support of our exuberant parents and go getter teachers  where students created history by being part of online fest 2020-21. Despite all restrictions and limitations the school celebrated flowing events in a row with 100% students participation and visibility .

Cambridge team is hoping for situation to improve to have F2F events ,else they too are gearing up for alternate to be ready in coming months .

When there is a  zeal to create wonders and confidence to support imaginations sky is the limit for all .Students and teachers in GIIS KL strike an amazing bond to realise all the dreams and amazingly parent body comes forward to make the ends meet .That is what is what we call the 9 gems sparkling by means of our success stories ,where there is no word called failure !
