On 25th May 2026, the GIIS KL Auditorium hosted an engaging and deeply insightful interactive session for senior students featuring alumnus Mr. Samanyu Okade, a proud member of the Grade 10 2016–17 batch. Currently a graduate of the prestigious TU Delft, Mr. Okade works as an Electronic Design Engineer in the space and satellite industry with ISISPACE Group. His remarkable professional journey from the halls of GIIS KL to one of Europe’s leading technical universities, and ultimately into the cutting-edge space industry, served as a powerful source of motivation for everyone in attendance.
During the session, Mr. Okade shared valuable insights into his academic path, stressing the importance of building strong fundamentals in science and mathematics alongside the lifelong value of curiosity-driven learning. He spoke candidly about the challenges and rewards of studying and working in a highly competitive international environment, particularly within the specialized field of aerospace technology.
The atmosphere was highly participative as senior students eagerly asked questions regarding career paths, the realities of studying abroad, and emerging opportunities in engineering and space sciences. Mr. Okade addressed their queries with practical, real-world advice, emphasizing consistency, sharp problem-solving skills, and the immense benefit of exploring personal interests early in one's academic journey.
The event beautifully aligned with the GIIS 9GEMS framework, specifically focusing on Personality Development and Skill Development. It also highlighted key Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education (SDG 4) and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
The session concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the students energized to stay focused on their goals while remaining open to global opportunities. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Samanyu Okade for returning to his alma mater, taking the time to connect with the students, and generously sharing his valuable experiences.
