Kuala Lumpur, 2 Dec. 2020: The National Constitution Day, also called the “Samvidhan Divas” was adopted on 26th of November 1949.This day is celebrated in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constituent Assembly of India. The Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January, 1950. Hence 26th November is celebrated as National Constitution Day and 26th January is celebrated as Republic Day of India.

In lieu of the constitution day, Global Indian International School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia had organized two events. Adv Etr. Mrs. Vinita Raj was invited on 25th November 2020 by the school for an insight into the Constitutional values and  Fundamental Principles. She spoke about the advantage of the single citizenship advocated by our constitution and various measures taken by the Constitution in protecting the basic rights of every human being in India.

To commemorate adoption of the Constitution of India ‘Global Indian International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’ also organized a talk show on 26th November 2020 where the students of the school gave a speech on Constitutional values and Fundamental Principles of Indian Constitution.

Students threw light on the Preamble which states-  We, the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic and to secure to all its citizens: justice, social, economic and political; liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.

The students maintained a remarkable strength and poise while delivering their speech. This gave each one of us a new insight and provided an in-depth knowledge and facts about our Constitution. It was a moment of pride and honour for each one of us.
