The air in the auditorium at GIIS,KL was thick with anticipation on the morning of 06 February 2026. Students from Classes 3 to 5, alongside their dedicated teachers and the Principal, Ms. Dipti Joshna gathered for the Monthly Awards Assembly; a vibrant celebration of the hard work, creativity, and intellectual rigor that defined the start of the year.  

The assembly served as a prestigious platform to honor the young minds who excelled in two standout events: the high-stakes Math Wizard Competition and the artistically charged Gempak Vaganza. More than just a distribution of certificates, the morning was a testament to the school’s commitment to the 9 GEMS framework. From the sharp logic of Academic Excellence (Gem 1) to the expressive flair of Visual and Performing Arts (Gem 3), the event highlighted how our students are evolving into well-rounded individuals prepared for the future.

The spotlight first fell on our numerical maestros during the Math Wizard segments. This wasn't your average classroom test; it was a grueling three-level odyssey designed to push the boundaries of logical thinking. Students navigated through the "Brain Busters" and the "Math Masters Test" before the ultimate challenge: the Math Mission final round held on 13th January. The auditorium erupted in applause as winners were recognized for their lightning-fast mental math and their ability to solve complex, real-world application problems with poise and accuracy.

The energy shifted from logic to legacy as the participants of Gempak Vaganza were called forward. These students, who poured their hearts into their performances, received certificates honoring their "marvellous" contributions to the school's cultural tapestry. By celebrating these achievements, the assembly reinforced the importance of Personality Development (Gem 4) and Universal Values (Gem 7), aligning perfectly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education and Well-being.

As the assembly concluded, the sense of motivation was palpable. Every certificate handed out represented a milestone in a student's journey toward leadership and skill development. It was a morning that proved that at GIIS, every talent is nurtured, every effort is valued, and every student has the potential to be a wizard in their own right.
