Dr Maria Montessori advocated that through education a new generation of fulfilled and well balanced adults would arise to lead the world towards peace. She adopted a scientific approach to observe children. Her method aims to develop the whole personality of the child through motor, sensory and intellectual activities.

KG Department of GIIS KL religiously follows Montessori’s methodology. To emphasize this, the KG teachers have displayed Maria Montessori’s motivational quotes outside their classrooms. The whole project was a refresher for the teachers to continue their passionate work with more zeal. The teachers imbibed Montessori’s philosophy and put it to practice in their daily classroom activities. The impact it has on the teachers is amazing as it helps them to improve their understanding of the child’s behaviour and also creating a stronger teacher student bond.

The quotes displayed also helped the parents understand the Montessori method and philosophy better. The older children in the school are also curious and are stopping by to read the quotes.
