Young Diplomats Take Centre Stage at GIIS Charholi Intra-MUN

Students of Classes 6 and 7 at GIIS Charholi recently participated in an engaging Intra-Model United Nations (Intra-MUN) session that aimed to encourage a deeper understanding of global diplomacy, international relations, and collaborative problem-solving.

The session commenced with the establishment of the members’ quorum, setting the tone for a structured and professional debate environment. Delegates then participated in an extensive General Speakers’ List, where they confidently presented their respective countries’ priorities and perspectives on global issues.

As the proceedings advanced into the Moderated Caucuses, students demonstrated remarkable critical thinking and diplomatic acumen while navigating complex “clash points.” The delegates showcased an impressive understanding of parliamentary procedures, negotiation techniques, and the importance of respectful dialogue in international forums.

One of the highlights of the session was the drafting of working papers, where students worked together to bridge ideological differences and arrive at mutually beneficial solutions through strategic discussions and consensus-building.

The Intra-MUN session proved to be more than just a policy debate exercise. It provided students with a valuable platform to strengthen essential life skills such as research, public speaking, teamwork, analytical thinking, and leadership — all of which are crucial for future global citizens and leaders.

The event reflected GIIS Charholi’s commitment to nurturing confident communicators and socially aware learners equipped to engage with global challenges thoughtfully and responsibly.
