GIIS Abu Dhabi students connect with UAE’s cultural heritage through Immersive Activities and NIM Display

Students at GIIS Abu Dhabi deepened their understanding of the UAE’s rich cultural heritage through a series of hands-on experiences and school-wide initiatives. Designed to help the younger generation appreciate the traditions and values of the country they live in, the activities were part of an ongoing commitment to National Identity and Citizenship education.

Throughout the week, students engaged in various immersive experiences, ranging from horse riding and falconry to cultural art projects and themed assemblies. Visits to significant sites such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque helped bring Emirati history and values to life, offering students a meaningful connection to the heritage of the UAE.

The highlight of the week was the National Identity Mark (NIM) Domain Display, where students across grades participated in projects, displays, and role-plays focused on Culture, Values, and Citizenship. Classrooms transformed into showcases of Emirati identity, encouraging peer learning and interactive exploration.

Through programs like these, GIIS Abu Dhabi continues to celebrate the diverse identities within its student community while nurturing strong connections to the culture and values of the UAE.
