GIIS Abu Dhabi in February 2019, organized a joyous blessing ceremony, Ashirvachanam for the students of class Xth who are soon going to appear for their board exam. Parents, teachers and trustees were present to grace the occasion. His Excellency Younis Haji Al Khouri was the chief guest of the day. The program started with the prayer followed by lamp lightning led by the chief guest, HE Younis Haji Al Khouri.

The student representatives, teachers and parents narrated their experiences and one could feel a sense of pride in the room. It was an evening filled with mixed emotions as everyone narrated their experiences and took a trip down memory lane. Principal Dr. Heena Rachh administered the exhortation and blessed the students. She stressed the qualities to be preserved throughout the life and insisted the students to spread the light of knowledge across the world.

In his address, the chief guest, His Excellency Younis Haji Al Khouri a member of many UAE government technical initiatives, urged the students to foresee the changes going to happen in next 30-50 years and emphasized the importance of acquiring the skills to survive in a rapidly changing world. The program ended with the staff choir singing showers of blessing.
