Indian business leaders in Singapore lauded the Union Budget for 2022-23 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday, saying it is in tune with the global trends and a "giant step" towards making India a $5 trillion economy in the next few years. Finance Minister Sitharaman on Tuesday unveiled a Rs 39.45 lakh crore Budget, with higher spending on highways to affordable housing with a view to fire up the key engines of the economy to sustain a world-beating recovery from the pandemic.
