Greetings from GIIS Ahmedabad!

As it is the time to say goodbye to the year 2023, I would like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year 2024. May the upcoming year be full of surprises, success, and greater focus for all the students to make their dreams into reality. As we draw curtains over the year 2023, we carry with us a sense of accomplishment and hope in our hearts for a promising new beginning of excellence and achievements.

We are extremely delighted that the GIIS Ahmedabad has built strong credentials for education excellence leading the school to be honored with a Gold Performer Award in the APQO Innovation Class Awards 2023 category. Our students - Lakshay Mittal, Suhani Agarwal, and Sneha Chaudhary with the mentor Mr. Amit Singh were felicitated with a 4-star performer award for their commitment towards quality education and sustainable practices.

GIIS Ahmedabad’s U-14 boys became champions in the ARA Football Tournament among the top schools and clubs in the city. Being undefeatable, the boys played 6 matches in the tournament without losing a single one. Their strategy to play the game as a team, skilful techniques and dedication on the football field achieved them a unanimous victory at the ARA Future League. The boys also won the SGFI District level tournament in the same category.

Adding another feather to these achievements, GIIS students outshone and brought medals in other sports such as swimming, handball, basketball, karate and athletics during the district-level tournament hosted by the School Games Federation of India.

Besides sports achievements, GIIS Ahmedabad students proved their mettle in CBSE board results. In the class 12 CBSE result, Perin Patel from the Science stream topped the exams with 95.4% followed by Manya Deka and Manan Gupta securing 95% and 93.2% respectively. Mayank Suman emerged as the topper of CBSE Class 10 with 95.4% while the second position of 94.8% was secured by Dhyey Buch and Jeevitha Bokadia. Akarsh Rohela stood at third position with 94.4% in class 10.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of GIIS Ahmedabad, we have successfully hosted second editions of two mega events - GIISMUN and GIIS IDEATE. The second edition of MUN was for students of grades 8 to 12 from across the globe to discuss and debate about real-world issues. GIISMUN 2.0 saw a participation of 300 students from local schools and GSF campuses. The four-day event brought together diverse participants to share their collective passion and zest for global affairs.

GIIS IDEATE 2.0 was a unique competition showcasing students’ Innovation and creativity. The competition was themed ‘Building an Era of Innovation’. GIIS IDEATE had more than 300 participants from 15 schools competing to win in 21 events that included arts, music, science, technology, fashion, history and more.

To begin with, Uttarayan, Republic Day, Environment Day, Yoga Day, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Independence Day, extravagant Navratri Nights, Diwali celebrations, Christmas and many more students have participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

In the end, I would like to convey my gratitude to all the parents and students for supporting and trusting the school management throughout the year. Your bond and eternal cooperation with the school are crucial for a child's development. I am looking forward to a better relationship with each one of you to make a significant impact on children's growth.

I would like to conclude with a quote by Nikita Parris “Being the best is: applying yourself to your potential, putting out the best version of yourself.” We, at GIIS Ahmedabad strive to develop by degrees.
