GIIS Balestier Campus features regular Theme presentations by Kindergarten children as part of their curriculum. In a reversal of roles, children step into the shoes of teachers to present interesting information before a gathered audience. Children are groomed to become confident speakers as a result of such presentations.

Exploring the color blue - Family and friends were taken on an adventure of ‘Exploring the colour blue’. Along with the Blue family and the little Blue Riding Hood they met Blue Jay, Blue Morpho Butterfly and the Blue Crowned Pigeons in their journey and learnt fascinating facts about these blue creatures. All other blue things in nature were cited through a song.

Brown All The Way- All brown coloured animals were highlighted by the children who also demonstrated mixing of orange and green colours to result in brown and the different shades of brown . A song and dance performance once again reinforced this colour.

The colour green- Children dressed in green brought out all things associated with this beautiful colour of nature. Trees and plants were the objects of presentation.

‘Endangered animals’- An amazing role play on a few selected endangered animals underscored the importance of protecting these species. A delightful song on “Mother Earth” concluded a great learning experience.

Mammals and Reptiles - Children used masks and props to depict the difference between mammals and reptiles. Land, water and flying mammals were also included. A jig to the tune of an animal song was widely applauded by the audience.
