Loads of fun on Children’s Day

Childrens Day

All dressed in bright colourful clothes, children got a taste of real fun on November 14th at GIIS Balestier Campus. The occasion was Childrens Day that marks the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. A special assembly by Class 3B set the mood right at the start. A humorous skit and lively dance brought home an apt message, Say no to bullying to convey the social responsibility of every child.

A well-directed musical play replete with beautiful props and costumes by the Parent Support Group (PSG) of the school showcased Unity is Strength to Kindergarteners and Primary students. Rocking dance performances by Kindergarten and Primary teachers swept the children off their feet. To add a touch of novelty to the show, ecstatic children too matched the swings and moves of the teachers on stage with squeals of delight.

And that was not all. Accompanied by teachers, all classes of children ventured to the fields at different times to indulge in light-hearted fun games all through the day. Doubtless, the children deserved to enjoy their special day to the very best.
