Hi-Q, an inter-school quiz competition for students of classes 3, 4 and 5, was back with a bang at GIIS Balestier Campus on September 7, 2017. The competition was aimed at promoting scholastic excellence and competence and also to provide a venue for interaction amongst the students and teachers from other campuses. Students from GIIS East Coast, Queenstown and Balestier participated in the competition. There were a total 6 teams (2 from each campus) with 3 participants in each.

The students crammed themselves up with a lot of general knowledge for the quiz. Mazes of intuited and interesting questions were asked to the students, testing each aspect of the educational knowledge base like science, sports, calendar quiz, around the world, about Singapore, etc. The quiz had a rapid fire round which made it more exciting for the students.

Each team put up a whole hearted effort, whereas GIIS Balestier aced the first prize in the junior category while GIIS Queenstown and GIIS East Coast Campus stood first runner up and second runner up, respectively.

The Vice Principal, Ms Savinder Kaur, addressed the students and gave her heartiest congratulations to the participants, audience as well as winners.
