Students bagged fourth position in the S.G.F.I Inter-School Throw Ball tournament 2018-19

INDORE, 8 AUGUST, 2018 - Under -14 and 17 throw-ball team (Boys and Girls) of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Indore participated in the S.G.F.I Inter-School Throw Ball Tournament held at the Alpine Academy, Indore. Thirty six students from grades VI-X participated with complete sportsmanship and sincerity.

Around 700 students from Sixteen schools of the city took part in the inter-school tournament that focused on giving students of the city a platform to hone their techniques and eventually their game by learning from the participating contestants/teams. This was the 64th Inter-School Throw ball tournament that was organized for the youth of the city.

The tournament was based on the knock out method; each team took part with full excitement and competitiveness. Teams from our school played exceptionally well and won two matches, each one against Juniors College School and M.Y.S School. GIIS students won both the matches by scoring 2 points versus 0. Overall GIIS Indore bagged the 4th position in the tournament.

At GIIS, every sport is given equal importance and each child gets a chance to hone their skills in their preferred sport. Professional trainers teach the students in the likes of the sport opted; once students attain a certain level of professional training, they get a chance to represent the school and showcase their talent at different competitions too.
