GIIS Tokyo Kindergarten SSD Campus Celebrates White Color Day as Entrepreneurship Day

In a world filled with colors, white stands out as a symbol of purity, innocence, light, and goodness. It's a color that combines all others, representing unity and potential. At GIIS Tokyo, we understand the importance of teaching our young learners not just within the confines of a classroom but also imparting practical life skills. Entrepreneurship, we believe, is a crucial skill for the future. With this vision in mind, GIIS Tokyo Kindergarten SSD campus celebrated White Color Day on January 31, 2024, turning it into an exciting Entrepreneurship Day.

The concept behind this unique celebration was to introduce our young students to the world of entrepreneurship. Understanding how to create, market, and sell products is a valuable skill that goes beyond textbooks. It encourages them to explore their abilities and talents while preparing them for the dynamic world they will step into in the future.

On this special day, our little ones donned white attires, signifying purity and a fresh start. The campus was filled with excitement as students enjoyed delectable baked goods, including cookies, muffins, and cupcakes. However, the highlight of the day was the entrepreneurial spirit exhibited by our K2 students.

Our kindergarten students set up a mini-market within the school premises, where they displayed and sold their products to their fellow K1 and nursery friends, as well as teachers. It was a delightful sight to witness these young minds taking charge, learning to market their goods, and counting their earnings. Every bit of money they made was proudly carried back home by them.

This entrepreneurial activity served a dual purpose. It not only instilled a sense of responsibility in our students but also helped them appreciate the value of money. They learned firsthand the effort it takes to sell their creations and the importance of making wise spending decisions when they used their own hard-earned money to purchase items.

The students actively participated in this fun-filled activity, and the sense of accomplishment and pride they felt after making a substantial profit was evident. It was heartwarming to see them applying their creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills in a real-world context.

At GIIS Tokyo, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not just academically proficient but also equipped with life skills that will serve them well in the future. The White Color Day turned Entrepreneurship Day was a step towards this goal, fostering creativity, innovation, and financial literacy in our young learners. We look forward to more such enriching experiences that empower our students to become future leaders and entrepreneurs.
