GIIS Tokyo Campus organised a Guest Lecture Programme on Drone Technology for the students of classes 5 to 12 held in June 2016. It was conducted by Mr Mandar Shendge, a senior manager in an IT Company located in Tokyo where he specialises in Drone Technology.
Mr Shendge spoke about the technology in detail, informing students about what drones were and how they were made and the future of drones. The students were delighted by the information provided on drones. After the presentation on drone technology, a video was played on how the drones fly through the air and about their wide applications in various fields. Mr Shendge mentioned that in India especially, drones are used to help farmers spray pesticides on a large scale which helps reduce the amount of work and which eventually helps them lead a better healthy life. Some of the slides are shown here. After the session, curious students came with many queries and requested Mr Shendge to answer them.
