Every year on 22nd April, Earth Day is celebrated at GIIS Indore campus, to sensitise the students to the important cause of @aps@saving our planet@aps@. People all over the world celebrate Earth Day by taking out rallies, street plays, tree plantation as well as encouraging recycling and reducing pollution.

To contribute in our own little way, the students of GIIS Indore, presented an environmental awareness program, reminding us that how small efforts can go a long way. Joining the world-wide celebration, the students came to school dressed as trees and Mother Earth, filling the atmosphere with positivity and peace.The thought of the day at the morning assembly was framed on the topic “Save Water”. They presented a short skit on Save Water. This was followed by a melodious song ‘Jal jeevan hai, jeevan jal hai’, by the students. They shared an informative presentation, highlighted by beautiful props on "Save Earth". They discussed on various ways of making our planet a better place to live in, by making small changes in our routine like switching off lights when not in use, not wasting water, planting more trees, reducing pollution by using proper disposal of garbage and saving fuel.

However, the damage is done and the picture is grim. But, there is hope at the end of the tunnel if each one of us pledges to save our planet so that our future generations have a greener and cleaner Earth to live in.
