Green Day Celebrations marked at GIIS Indore

Problems occurring due to depletion of the natural resources and environmental changes have been hampering our health for quite some time now. We have destroyed nature and our environment, and have abused the resources available to us. Fortunately, we have learned from our mistakes over the last few years and have become more aware about our misdeeds.

To educate children about the value of our natural resources, and introduce them to the colour, Green Day was celebrated in school with great enthusiasm and show. To begin with, children and teachers were dressed in green coloured attires and classrooms were decorated with trees and different kind of leaves. Each student had brought a green colored object and spoke a few lines about it. A short note on the importance of trees was also shared by the pre-primary teachers in a special assembly conducted for the tiny tots of school.

Kindergarten children were engaged in various activities which included colouring, vegetable printing using water colours, etc. Teachers even engaged students in rhyme enactment activity, making the learning process more enjoyable for them. Finally, as a part of ‘i-Care’ activity, seed sowing was conducted for KG students to educated them about importance of planting trees, plants and conversing the planet earth for our better lives.
