GIIS Indore students awarded at SBI KIDOVATORS 2016; Innovation and Leadership Development

Global Indian International School is global brand that believes in holistic development of students. Entrepreneurship and leadership skills are fostered since the very beginning, in order to make our students’ global citizens of tomorrow.

Promoting skill development and confidence building among school students, a group of 19 students from GIIS Indore participated in Kidovators 2016 challenge organized by State Bank of India (SBI). Kidovators 2016 is a platform that enables school students to showcase their leadership skills, intuitiveness and preparedness for the life ahead.

The challenge conducted was categorized in two Rounds where the first round was a national level written aptitude that tested students on a variety of curricular & co-curricular skills for students of grades 2 - 10. Followed by the Grand Finale Challenge (Round 2), top students from Round 1 solved national and global problems and crisis using their own perspective and sense of understanding. Students had to submit their entries in form of essays and videos online. The final round witnessed around 450 finalists from all over India competing for the ultimate honour i.e. “Champion Kidovator of India” along with prizes worth Rupees 1 Crore.

3 students from the campus cleared the first round and got selected for the finals. Swastik Ajmera of grade 2, Shubhika Puranik of Grade 2, and Aadya Singh of grade 3 were among the 450 finalists from all over India. The results were as follows:

  1. Shubhika Puranik of Grade 2 got Rank 9, all over India.
  2. Adaya Singh Grade 3 got Rank 21, all over India.
  3. Swastik Ajmera got Rank 21, all over India.
  4. Best Teacher in-charge was awarded to Mr. Arpit Vaidya for the event.

At GIIS, students are given numerous opportunities which help them in honing multiple skillsets. Students get a chance to learn and implement application ability during school life, which ultimately adds up to their personality and knowledge.
