There is nothing more valuable and precious than freedom. The message and emotions were well conveyed through the songs sung by the participants of the ‘Inter-school Patriotic Song Competition’ hosted by Bharat Vikas Parishad on August 20, 2016 at Jaal Sabah Graha Auditorium, Indore.

he competition saw the participation from 15 renowned schools of the city, including Global Indian International School Indore and paid a tribute to the nation’s glory and hence was being organized to highlight the spirit of nationalism and patriotism. It began with a warm welcome to the judges and the participants present on the occasion.

Each school was required to select the lyrics of the songs from the book named “Rastriya Chetana Ke Swar” and self-compose them. Once the teams started the performance, the ambiance was filled with patriotic fervor. GIIS Indore students spellbound the audience with their melodious composition and singing. Their enthusiasm was worth seeing.

Dr. (Captain) Dinisha Bhardwaj, Principal, GIIS – Indore lauded the efforts of the students in keeping the spark of patriotism kindled and respect for the freedom fights alive through such activities. She further added, “GIIS strives to bring the best in performing arts by offering its students a platform to put forth their talents. Such activities open up vast opportunities for the students to pave way for independent thinking and self-assessment. And each student did a marvelous job.”

Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Ms. Nidhi Nagar, a renowned singer and Mr. Prakash, a reverend performer and singer. Certificates of participation were given to all the participants followed by a gala lunch.
