Confluence; an amalgamation of thoughts, vision and values.

To mark the beginning of the Academic Year 2015-16, GIIS Indore presented Confluence; an orientation programme for parents. Every year, before the commencement of the session, the principal and the staff share the philosophy of the school and the way forward with the parents.

The session started with a welcome speech by Ms. Neha Ratnaparkhe and a welcome song by students, and a short introduction on the Vision and Mission of GIIS and the philosophy of GSF by Mr. Amit Kumar. This was followed by an insight into the pre-primary curriculum by Mrs. Sarika Bhatia and details on school facilities and special programmes were presented by Ms. Abha Raj. myGIIS is an important tool that helps parents remain connected to the school and access their children’s reports, lesson plans and every detail connected to their children’s learning. Ms. Neeta Parmar explained the features and facilitated the usage of myGIIS.

Ms. Sunita Jaisingh, National Academic Head - Scholastics was also present on the occasion. She explained the assessment pattern for primary curriculum and also delved into the merits of Detailed Assessment that GIIS Indore will be using to track the overall performance of the students and their understanding of concepts. Mrs. D. Bhardwaj, Principal GIIS Indore spoke on the 9 gems learning framework and explained how the activities were related to each gem and thanked the parents for their support and understanding.

Master Hanu Trivedi, a GIIS student, spoke of his experience at school and expressed the joy that he had felt being a part of the GIIS family where learning is fun.

All the teachers and staff were introduced to the parent and all their doubts were cleared. The meet and greet session ended on a cheerful note as the students sang beautifully for their parents.
