Best out of waste

Best out of waste

Students from classes I to VIII participated in an inter-class competition on ‘Best Out of Waste’. The competition focused at creating awareness on ‘recycling of resources’ and was a source of encouragement for students to re-use waste material through innovation and creativity.

The students brought rejected materials from home, which they combined and decorated to create artistic pieces. They made an array of display materials like paper flowers, spoon flowers, pipe-tree, tyre-pond, collage, sceneries, guitar from bottle caps and buttons, fountain and human faces with empty coke bottles. The class teachers helped them prepare beautiful works of art. The students worked in groups and the competition was a collaborative effort of everyone. Capt. Dr. Dinisha Bharadwaj, Principal GIIS Indore encouraged the students to open their minds to innovative thinking and experimenting with various materials and create a world of wonders. The school will proudly showcase the work of GIIS students.
