The Global Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GCIE) Department at GIIS Dubai recently orchestrated the grand finale of Qutuhal Season 5 Expo and Awards, an awe-inspiring event that illuminated the talents, curiosity and creativity of 8000 students from 103 schools from the Global Sschools Group (GSG) and other schools across the UAE, KSA, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, India, UK and USA . 

Qutuhal Season 5, the multi-week international extravaganza featured nine challenges and a grand finale that pushed participating students to showcase their innovation and entrepreneurial prowess for ten weeks . From  October 10, 2023, to January 7, 2024, students across the globe  from Grades 1 to 12 (Years 2 to 13) delved into the wonders of science, AI & robotics, coding, sustainability, wellbeing, maths in real life, space exploration, digital art, and business and finance. The grand finale challenge, themed "Connecting COP28 and Sustainability," marked the pinnacle of their intellectual journey. . The grand finale and Expo, held on 10th February 2024, marked the culmination of this exhilarating journey, where winners across four categories were honoured for their outstanding achievements.The competition spanned Sub Juniors (Grades 1 & 2), Juniors (Grades 3 to 5), Seniors (Grades 6 to 8), and Super Seniors (Grades 9 to 12). Beyond the prestige, winners were adorned with cash prizes and trophies for their exceptional performances.

Parents who attended the event onsite from GIIS Dubai and virtually were overjoyed to witness their children's accomplishments at the grand event. Many expressed their gratitude for the inclusive and challenging nature of the competition, highlighting the positive impact on their children's personal and academic development..
