GIIS Tokyo students participate in the Project Infinity: Being Alive Workshop

The OECD Future of Education and Skills 2030, organized a series of workshops for students to participate in, and GIIS Tokyo actively participated in the Project Infinity: Being Alive workshop that was held in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The event spanned over two days and students took part in various activities.

Day 1 started with an ice-breaking session where students could interact with other participants.  This was followed by participants taking part in various paralympic sports, such as wheelchair basketball, boccia, and wheelchair relay race.

On Day 2, the students participated in a workshop with participants from other parts of the world via Zoom. They also got the chance to watch a short film called ‘Home Away From Home’; after which they discussed their opinions on film, while in groups.

Additionally, the students presented a short speech about their school life in Japan. Each student spoke for 2 minutes, talked about their challenges, and compared their school life with others. They also heard a lecture on pre-conception care and had discussions with their group members.

Overall, the workshop was quite successful and students learnt a lot in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion in action. They also made lasting connections with fellow participants.
