<big>I</big><big>n September 2023, the middle-year students of the Sustainability Club at GIIS Tokyo&#39;s Higashi Kasai Campus,&nbsp;embarked on a noteworthy project aimed at bolstering soil health.</big>

Their project involved the innovative use of discarded tissue paper and leaf mulch compost to care for and transplant various plant species. The results of their efforts were nothing short of extraordinary, with the plants thriving and blossoming beautifully. This initial success proved to be a significant motivator, prompting them to expand the project&#39;s horizons by including an even wider array of plant varieties.

Additionally, it aids in the retention of carbon within the soil, thereby contributing to the reduction of their carbon footprint.</div>

The Sustainability Student Ambassador, expressing her excitement about the team&#39;s growth, remarked, &quot;I am thrilled to see new friends join the team.&quot; The prospect of extending this initiative to other campuses in Tokyo is currently under serious consideration.
