The GIIS SMART Campus cricket team clinched silver medals in the Chandu Borde Under 16 Cricket Tournament, which concluded on April 25 at the East Coast Campus. The two-week tournament saw fierce competition among 10 teams from local and international schools and clubs, with GIIS SMART Campus, Singapore Cricket Club, KRS, and GIIS East Coast Campus advancing to the semifinals after an exhilarating series of league matches.

In a gripping final match, GIIS SMART Campus put up a commendable score of 140 for 5 in their 20 overs, with notable performances from Aryamann Dwivedi (43), Krishay Dhar (29), and Anirudh Praveen (24). Despite their efforts, KRS clinched victory with Shreyan Pattnaik leading the charge with a swift 59 off 20 balls, including seven sixes, as they chased down the target with ease.

GIIS SMART Campus entered the finals beating GIIS East Coast Campus. Both  the campuses put up their competitive sports prowess and in the end GIIS East Coast Campus team fell short by 13 runs.

The tournament's closing ceremony was presided over by GIIS SMART Campus Principal Ms Melissa Maria, who inaugurated the finals and distributed awards to the outstanding performers of the tournament.
