What is the RJ-World like?

We took a trip to the Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM station to experience the behind-the-curtain scenes of the audio-medium.

Come and join us for a walk-through of the radio station.

It is a cool zone to work while the tag line reads, ‘it’s hot’. We saw the work stations; colourful and bright with so much of wall art that it creates a fun-filled and energetic environment for the staff. We filled up the entire reception area with colours and drawing sheets as we drew Christmas trees, bells, candles, gifts and Santa for the coming Christmas celebration. We were then led in groups of eight or nine to the conference room where the Program Head explained to us on the whiteboard the organisational structure and the responsibility of each department. Then we met our favourite Radio Jockey, Ms. Niyati who is popular for retro beats. She showed us how amazingly the sound mixers and audio equipment worked and yes; it was fun! She asked us to sing and made us laugh. We played a quiz on music and won many gifts.

What’s new?

We know how hard our favourite RJs work to bring us information in an entertaining format. They research on their topics, authenticate their programmes, write scripts, record and package their pieces with the playlist and then break on-air with the most engaging programmes that we love so much.
