Republic Day celebrations at GIIS Noida

Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida celebrated Republic day by conducting three different special assemblies for the pre-primary, upper primary and secondary classes in the school premises.

The pre-primary wing celebrated to nurture young minds with information that helps them to live in harmony and commemorate the country’s transition in becoming an independent country in true sense. Celebrations began with singing patriotic songs, dressed up in attires of famous freedom fighter speaking one liners on their bravery, and dancing on the song Jai Ho. A short video was shown to make them understand what the importance and significance of being independent and republic is all about. The assembly was concluded with national anthem.

Grade 1 and 2 were also apprised with the importance of the day. Grade 1 B students conducted the special assembly and presented a PowerPoint presentation on facts and how the Republic day is celebrated all over India. Following was a dance performance on the song “Mere Desh ki Dharti”. Students presented themselves as famous leaders and shared thoughts on freedom.

Primary wing of the school also showcased their respects by pulling off the assembly with a patriotic song sung by the school choir. Gauri and Jenisha from grade 8 shared important facts behind framing of the Indian constitution, followed a patriotic poem shared by Priyamvada and Sameeksha of grade 8. A mesmerising musical performance by grade 5 students came next as they shared their feelings through a patriotic song. Moving towards the end, an Indian classical dance performance on the song Vandemataram concluded the special assembly for the primary and secondary students.
