Global Indian International School always believes in a motto which goes: “by the students, of the students, and for the students”.
Marking the beginning of Investiture Ceremony 2016-17, Ms. Nandita Dasgupta (Principal) along with Officials from corporate team namely Ms. Aditi Chakraborty -Head Marketing, Mr. Girish Sachdeva -Finance Controller and Mr. Anurag Sharma - General Manager, Institution Development formally inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
Since the school council plays a vital role in running and carrying out various events, the celebrations for announcing the elected governing body of GIIS Noida had to be special. With a lot dignity and pride and soaring drum beats, the elected members of the school council were crowned with respective sashes, badges and scrolls centre stage. The election procedure for selecting eligible candidates were carried few months prior, where each student of the school had voted for their choice, to make way in the official school cabinet.
Parents of the elected candidates and academic scholars were also invited to grace the ceremony to witness them taking the oath towards successful leadership. Moving ahead, each of the elected candidates took oath of working towards the betterment of the school, and always maintain a character that knows humility, honesty and integrity at the most. They all vowed to abide by the rules and regulation which ultimately work in the benefits of students studying with us at GIIS Noida. Basically, working in order to rise the name of school to an unmatchable level.
The head girl and boy of the school along with cultural secretary and school sports captain presented their acceptance speech and claimed towards working for the welfare of the students and the school on the whole.
Besides felicitating the school council, academic excellence awards winners ( grade 1-9) were honoured with medals and merit certificates for scoring 80% and above in previous academic session i.e. 2015-16. Subject wise toppers and class wise toppers were felicitated next.
A group of students who had shown significant improvement of 10% from their last year’s performance were given successful improvement badges, motivating them to work harder this year. Moving towards the closure, students who had been performing well in academics, from the past three years were felicitated with the same enthusiasm and spirit. Lastly, National and international Olympiad winners in various subjects were handed over merit certificates for showcasing exceptional skills and intelligence.
