Since the theme for this year’s sports day was Indigenous games, the motive behind choosing this theme was to make today’s generation relive the era of earlier decades which included variety of indoor and outdoor games. These games have not only enriched our rich cultural heritage but also helped our students in strengthening their unidimensional strength and core muscle coordination. Suitable for all age groups, indigenous games are definitely a way of increasing healthy interaction between generations. They have also been known for increasing logical thinking, reasoning abilities, increase concentration, etc. among individuals of varied age groups.
