Soccer is known for its enthusiasm and spirit it evokes among its players and spectators. It’s believed to bond people in a community that lives the game like a religion and preaches its players as Gods. Countries like United Kingdom, Brazil, etc. have brought the game to an international level of recognition, popularity and acceptance all over the world.
Also known as Football, soccer has been an absolute favourite of our students from quite long. Children irrespective of their gender love playing the game during their outdoor periods.
Global Indian International School Noida proudly shares the victory of its Football team at the Inter-School Football Fest held at Basant Kunj, New Delhi. Our team of 9 players brought the winner’s trophy home after competing with 6 different schools from DelhiNcr. The first match was played between Millennium School, Gurgaon and GIIS Noida. Both the teams played exceptionally well which lead to a tie breaker round. Penalty shootout (which happens when there’s a tie) of 5 chances was given to each team, which was won by GIIS Noida.
After qualifying for the second round, GIIS Noida played and won another match against Son Valley School Delhi. After winning both the matches, our soccer enthusiasts also won the final match by scoring 4 goals against 1 by Millennium School, Noida.
