Annual Class presentation for Grades 1-2; expression and creativity at par

Annual presentations are a great example of showcasing yearlong efforts put into action by students. Teachers and students come along to put forth a great show every year, and show parents a summary of what all they have learned throughout the gone by academic year.

Grades 1-2 of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Noida held their annual class presentation for the respective set of parents in the campus with a lot of show and exuberance. The class presentations were showcased over a span of 5 days, and had students from each section narrate a story using their creative and imaginative talents. Grade 1 sections presented their bit on the story “The Umbrella Girl” exhibiting a perfect integration of subjects like Maths, EVS, and English. The basic idea was to depict various shapes and sizes, various seasons and its importance through role play and giving them a chance to perfect their conversational skills as they narrate the story.

Grade 2 on the other hand presented a role play on the story “The Three Goblins and how their life changed when their cousin Phil came visiting them”. The role play was well summarized and integrated with all major subjects students have studied in their current academic session.

Parents were invited to witness their children perform with utmost confidence and poise. Every day of the presentation started with a welcome song followed by the role play on the theme chosen. As the presentation advanced, respective bunch of students presented a dance performance to add every bit of drama and music to the presentations. Vote of thanks was presided by respective class teachers followed by a feedback session that engaged parents in sharing their experience on a chart paper.

This year the annual class presentation theme was selected to give parents a chance to witness their ward perform with all their might and presentation skills closely, and to help become more fluent in the language they speak. Imagination and creativity were two other takeaways ought to be achieved through the medium of presentations.
