Malaysian Day

The Malaysia Day assembly was held on July 30, 2014. People celebrate the independence of the country on August 31 with parades. Dave Singh Gendeh from Class 8 and Davin Singh Gendeh from CMS 10 were the emcee of the event. They elaborated why Malaysian celebrate Malaysia Day. It is often forgotten that Malaysia was only formed on September 16, 1963, when Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore joined together with the existing States of the Federation of Malaya, to establish the new federation of Malaysia. In other words, Malaysia Day is the birthday of Malaysia.
The young and energetic students of CIPP 3 showcased their talent with a song and the students of CIPP 5 mesmerized the audience with their elegant dance. On the whole it was a great assembly that gave an insight to the Malaysian culture.
