Innovation Lab @ GIIS KL is an program within KL School that is designed for students who are passionate about science, mathematics, engineering, media, and technology. The program seeks to immerse students in emerging technologies with an emphasis on human experiences, so that they can generate innovations that benefit individuals and communities. This stimulating program enables students to conduct independent research and undertake self-directed learning in such fields as electronics, computer programming, Physics, chemistry, Social studies, Art and Psychology. Innovation Lab @ GIIS KL provides students with an engaging intellectual environment designed to foster their curiosity, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

By the time the assessors from IMC visited us the students were ready with displays showing innovative experiments.

Some of the models displayed were, a scale model of Global Indian International School, a working model of electric car, beautiful paintings and a generator that can power a SVLED bulb. The teachers and the students put in tremendous effort to materialize the lab. The innovation lab provided students with the opportunity to open up their ‘ think tanks’ and come up with wonderful and creative ideas.

The IMC team thoroughly enjoyed the description and explanations of the students. The students had also prepared a skit on a topic that is current. The topic for the skit was ‘demonetization’. The students put forward their points by taking on roles of prominent figures in India.
