Each year the Science Olympiad Foundation, India, holds the following contests:

• National Cyber Olympiad (NCO): a nationwide talent search contest to identify and encourage cyber savvy talent amongst school children.
• National Science Olympiad (NSO): an academic and scholastic aptitude competition encouraging learning in Science, Environment and Mathematics .
• International Maths Olympiad (IMO): to identify and encourage the mathematical creativity of children.

GIIS Kuala Lumpur Campus students won a total of 8 awards in all the examination categories, NCO, NSO, IEO and IMO.

Each year the Science Olympiad Foundation, India, holds the following contests:

Three students from GIIS East Coast Campus in Singapore secured top international ranks in Olympiad examinations conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Navaneeth Ramapurath secured the 1st position (Gold) in the 11th National Cyber Olympiad 2011 (NCO), while both, Anika Sharma and Saideekshith Vaddineni secured the 3rd position (Bronze) in the 2nd International English Olympiad 2011 (IEO) and 5th International Mathematical Olympiad 2011 (IMO), respectively. This year more than 20,000 schools from over 1,000 cities across 14 countries registered to participate in the Olympiad Exams and millions of students appeared for the same.

• 394 students from GIIS East Coast Campus appeared in the 5th International Maths Olympiad - 2011. Out of these 11 students qualified for the second round.
• For the 14th National Science Olympiad - 2011, a total of 325 students from
  GIIS East Coast Campus appeared with 11 students qualifying for the second round. Class 4 student, Neha Ramesh scored the top school rank and 50th in the International rank.

• 165 students from GIIS East Coast Campus appeared in the 11th National Cyber Olympiad - 2011 with 19 students qualifying for the second round.The following students shone with their exceptional cyber skills.

• Soumyaditya Choudhuri of Class 4D, GIIS Balestier Campus bagged the 3rd international rank in the 11th National Cyber Olympiad Exam.
• GIIS East Coast Campus Principal, Ms Madhu Khanna won the Best Principal Award and Ms Sreedevi N Raghavan were awarded Best Teacher, both in International State Category.
