‘Flying Doctor’ visits GIIS Kuala Lumpur Campus, Malaysia

Tan Sri Dr Mani Jegathesan, fondly called the ‘Flying Doctor’ in Malaysia for blazing the tracks around Asia despite being a doctor, was an icon in the 1960s, which was regarded as the "Golden Era" of Malaysian athletics.

In February 2012, GIIS Kuala Lumpur Campus students had the opportunity to interact with him. They came up with their questions and were rewarded with honest answers. His magnanimous gesture pleased all. He talked about the personality traits of a sportsperson and gave the tips how to achieve success and happiness in life. His one hour motivating talk was very fruitful. He stressed upon the fact that everyone should follow the 4D’s in life - viz. Dedication, Discipline, Devotion and Diligence – to achieve their goals
