Chinese New Year Assembly was held on Tuesday, the 24th January 2017 and it will be day to be remembered. The emcees of the Chinese New Year celebration were Muhamad Ashran and  Sehejkeerat Kaur Gill of Year 10.  The assembly started off with a play presented by the Year 10 students. The play was about Chinese New Year celebration at home and the preparation it takes to embrace the Year of the Rooster. The students from Year 8 did an amazing contemporary Chinese fan dance. Last but not least, we ended the celebration with the students of Year 5 singing the “Gong Xi Fa Cai” song for the audiences. 

The celebration ended with the Malaysian National Anthem being sung. The Principal, Mr Harvendra Singh Khalsa graced the occasion. The auditorium was filled with the Chincese New Year festive mood and teachers were dressed in red to commemorate the season.
