July 2016. The Cultural Fest 2016 at GIIS, Bangalore cascaded the myriad Indian traditions as a colourful spectacle that brought sparks of joy and pride of being Indian.

As the parents started visiting the campus with their children, to witness the cultural showcase in various classes, the ambiance was soon becoming a celebration of India. Every State under one roof of GIIS, Bangalore was so creatively portrayed. The class rooms of the Pre Primary and the Primary Blocks were a Visual Paradise for one and all. It was so nice to see the parents, teachers and students in their traditional attires. One could see unity in diversity and everyone exchanged smiles and loved the amazing surprises from the various States. This is India for sure and GIIS has always helped children get acquainted to this traditional treasure all the time.

The Lighting of the Lamp and the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony by the respected Principal, Mr. Ganesh Sharma, marked the inauguration of the Fest. This brought parents, students and teachers together to witness a morning of an exceptionally amazing cultural banquet with graceful dances, food delights, interactive quiz and alluring pictorial representation of various States. North, South, East and West Zones are rich in traditional quintessence and children explained these enthusiastically to the parents visiting each class. The Fashion show was amazing where parents went on to the stage and shared their humble views about their tradition with pride, the special food of their State from their own childhood learning along with inspiring historic connotations .

GIIS Cultural Fest 2016 adds a new feather of achievement for the campus. This was a BIG success because of the combined effort of the dedicated teachers, the vibrant students and the ever encouraging parents.
