Dubai Fitness Village

A Tooney Journey by students of KG-1

Mélange 2016-2017 the second Annual Day Program; The Musical “A Tooney Journey” was enacted by students of Kindergarten 1 in November 2016. There were two shows held; one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Every Child is a different kind of a flower. All put together they make this world a beautiful garden.

The event started off by the recital from The Holy Quran followed by U.A.E National Anthem and Indian National Anthem. The Kindergarten choir welcomed the gathering melodiously with a very soulful welcome song. Additionally, KG-1 students welcomed parents and guests with open arms and their sweet words.

Mr. Ramesh Mudgal-Principal GIIS Abu Dhabi welcomed the gathering and presented the ‘Annual Report’ for the year 2016-2017 and shared an insight into the achievements of GIIS  Abu Dhabi for the current academic year and  explained about the key thrusts for the upcoming academic year.

Then the most awaited part;  The Musical, “A Tooney Jouney” unfolded  where the everyday cartoon characters came alive through our tiny tots who danced as Power Puff girls, Superman, Dora, Diego, Chutki, Bheem, Party Dancers, Strawberry Shortcake, Ben 10,  Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Outdoor Dancers,  Rain Dancers as they  took us all to their dream and fantasy land.  All in all, the journey was mesmerising and touched our hearts giving everyone a message that screen based fun is not as much fun as playing outdoors and enjoying the natural flora and fauna.

Walt Disney said “Our greatest natural resources is the minds of our children” Truly, the little ones performed exceeding the expectations of all and made their parents and teachers proud of them. The Annual Day 2016-2017 concluded with the ‘Vote of Thanks’ by our students. Global Indian International School Abu Dhabi team can proudly say that the parents were happy and overwhelmed with joy seeing their little toes dancing to the music so well.
