The Global Indian International School (GIIS), Ahmedabad celebrated the momentous milestone of a decade of learning and enrichment through their Annual Day and Carnival. The event which was aptly themed, GIIS Journey of Joy-10 Glorious Years', showcased the talent and creativity of more than 3500 students from Nursery to Grade 8. A grand blockbuster to glorify the school's achievements and milestones over the last decade!

The GIIS Ahmedabad annual day festivities were dedicated to Nursery to Grade 3 students with each grade presenting unique themes that captivated the audience. For Nursery to Grade 2 students, the theme was Colour Palette, where our young artists showcased their creativity through vibrant and imaginative displays. Grade 3 students delved into the Inward Journey, exploring introspection and self-discovery through their performances and presentations. 

Grade 3 to 8 students took part in GIIS Ahmedabad Carnival, wherein each class presented their projects on diverse themes showcasing their knowledge and understanding across various subjects. The projects were not only informative but also engaging, allowing students to demonstrate their skills in a fun and interactive manner. Some of the captivating themes for the Carnival projects include ‘Journey Under the Spotlight’ which focused on drama and storytelling, ‘The Discovery of Heritage’ highlighting social studies and heritage conversation in collaboration with INTACH, ‘Kaleidoscope of Artists’ celebrating the artistic talents of the students. 

Additionally, projects like ‘The Harmony Haven’ emphasized life skills and well-being, ‘Glitz Glam and Rockllicking’ brought forth a fun parade, and ‘SCi-Pi’ integrated mathematics and science uniquely and excitingly

The Chief Guest, Dr. Shailendra Gupta, eminent educationist and NCERT scholar, inaugurated the event, setting the stage for a two-day extravaganza filled with performances, projects, and displays that highlighted students’ abilities and talent. He said, “The Carnival filled with themes and Annual Day celebrations at GIIS Ahmedabad are more than just events; they reflect our commitment to nurturing creativity, fostering community spirit, and celebrating the diverse talents of students.”

As GIIS Ahmedabad celebrates its journey of joy over the past 10 years, the Annual Day and Carnival served as a fitting tribute to the achievements and successes of GIIS Ahmedabad. The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to providing a holistic education that nurtures creativity, innovation and excellence in every student.
