GIIS Ahmedabad grade 11 students say adios to the outgoing batch of class 12

“Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.”

Farewells are inevitable but they can never diminish the cherished memories created during the precious school years. Our Grade 11 students organized a farewell party to bid adieu to the outgoing batch of the year 2023-24. The day was a tribute to the wonderful moments spent together with friends and teachers. With myriad emotions brimming in their hearts, the students reminisced and basked in joyous memories.

The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and recitation of shlokas to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. The Principal - Mr. Caesar D’silva, Vice Principal - Ms. Monita Dash, Ms. Ruchika Dhingra, Ms. Ronak Purohit and other teachers graced the occasion with their presence. The Grade 11 students of GIIS Ahmedabad created a short video which captured the treasured memories of their seniors etched in the canvas of their school journey.

The seniors thoroughly enjoyed a game based on the ‘Pick the Chit’ wherein they had to pick a chit and answer the question written on it. The heart-melting speeches by the outgoing batch created a poignant environment as it was the last event of the students on the school premises.

The icing on the cake was the ramp walk by ravishing divas and divos of Grade 12 - the Science, Commerce and Humanities students along with their gorgeous class teachers. Ganeev Tuteja from the Science stream was declared as Mr. GIIS, while Sanskriti Patidar was felicitated with Ms. GIIS title. The students exemplified the grooming and competence nurtured at GIIS Ahmedabad.

Other titles like Mr. Confident was awarded to Devansh Madlan, Ms. Popular was awarded to Prushti Dalsania, Ms. Congeniality title was given to Chitrakshi Chaubey and the title of Ms. Beautiful Smile was awarded to Neeva Nanavati.

The farewell party concluded with a closing note by the Principal, Mr. Caesar D’silva. In his address speech, he said, “We are extremely proud of each one of you who have come a long way as GIISians. I am sure you all will soar high in the sky of dreams. However, always remember to remain grounded, I hope you all will carry the lessons learned here. Work hard to accomplish your goals, but do not forget to cherish life.”

The farewell party was a potpourri of emotions, nostalgia, fun, and excitement. GIIS wishes its students all the best in their future endeavours as they soar towards newer pastures.
