Pertaining to the above quote, GIIS Ahmedabad’s dynamic framework is aimed at fostering the all-round development of students through an integrated, holistic approach to learning. As the academic journey progresses, it is imperative to acknowledge and celebrate the milestones achieved along the way. GIIS Ahmedabad proudly presents a round-up of its notable achievements for the month of February. From academic triumphs to extracurricular successes, our school community continues to shine brightly, embodying the spirit of dedication and excellence.

To begin with, GIIS Ahmedabad is extremely delighted to share that our extraordinary students participated and won 5 awards in the FILMIT Film Festival organized by INTACH. Shlok Joshi (grade 7) won the Best Narrative Film award, Nakul Kelkar (grade 6) and Himanish Basu Sarbadhikari (grade 7) bagged Best Documentary Film individually, Shaurya Mistry (grade 8) won Best Film with a Message. 
With 21 films uploaded for the film festival, GIIS Ahmedabad also won the award for maximum participation.

We are happy to announce that our GMP students - Sanchi and Tvisha won ‘The Quizzlings’ an inter-GIIS quiz competition organized by GIIS Noida. The students competed against all India campuses and were based on language literacy, mathematical skills, cultural studies and general knowledge. 

Our Annual Day and Carnival celebrated the momentous milestone of a decade of learning and enrichment. The event was aptly themed, GIIS Journey of Joy - 10 Glorious Years showcased the talent and creativity of more than 3500 students from Nursery to Grade 8. A grand blockbuster to glorify the school’s achievements and milestones over the last decade. 

We would like to congratulate all the achievers of the Sports For All (SFA) tournament for their unwavering dedication and rigorous practice sessions. GIIS Ahmedabad is delighted to share the victorious journey of GIISians in SFA tournaments such as Chess, Swimming, Basketball, Football, and Athletics. 

We at GIIS Ahmedabad recognise every success which motivates students to do their best. The stakeholders including the school management, teachers, and parents gathered together to recognise the talent of students in various non-academic pursuits during GIIS Ahmedabad Annual Felicitation Ceremony. It was a moment of pride for us to congratulate and felicitate more than 600 extra-curricular and co-curricular achievers for the academic year 2023-24. 

The Global Student Exchange (GSE) program initiated by GIIS helps students to participate and compete with their peers from different campuses and exchange their ideas and learning. This year, GSE’s theme for the GMP segment was ‘Wonders of Space’ wherein our students prepared presentations which delved into the captivating world of stars, space, astronauts, science, planets etc. 
The theme for grades 3 to 5 was ‘Anmol Aacharan’  to which our students presented good behaviour which is a crucial foundational value that sustains a decent society.

Our grade 11 students organized a GIIS farewell party to bid adieu to the outgoing batch of the year 2023-24. The day was a tribute to the wonderful moments spent together with friends and teachers. With myriad emotions brimming in their hearts, the students reminisced and basked in joyous moments.

As we reflect on the events of February 2024, let us all celebrate the achievements of our students and the spirit of participation. With this context, I would like to conclude my message with heartfelt good luck wishes for the upcoming examinations. I am confident that our students will emerge with flying colours in the exams.
