TOKYO, 11 SEPTEMBER, 2018: Students put up a surprise show to express their gratitude and love for teachers on the Teachers’ Day. The multitalented students entertained their mentors with a celebration that they had secretly planned.

The teachers were requested to assemble in the school auditorium on the pretext of the Morning Assembly where they were amazed to see the students waiting for them. An inspirational skit, penned by Dhvani Patil of Grade 8, was then staged that got the teachers emotional. The skit was followed by conferring of honorary titles to each and every teacher of the school.

Speaking on the occasion, the School Vice Principal, Mr Sandeep Singh asserted that the teachers are the backbone of the society and they play a tremendous role in building the character of the students and shaping them to become ideal citizens of the world.

Highlighting the contribution of the teachers, the School Principal, Ms Rajeswary Sambathrajan reiterated the significance and the unwavering commitment of teachers for the mission and vision of the school.

The School Associate Director, Mr Prashant Bafna organised a small get-together and a cake-cutting ceremony for all the teachers. Paying tribute to the teachers, he mentioned that they are the architects of the future generations and playing an important role in the growth story of GIIS.

Teachers had a great time on this special day which is a small gift in return for their huge contribution to a student's life.
