In the summer camp that was organised to prevent the lull that sets in due to the long holidays, students learnt multiple skills in a play-based learning environment. The camp was held from July-August 2018 at the Nishi-Kasai Campus and was open for both GIIS and outside students.

Various activities organised for students during the camp:

Move and Groove

Students got loose and limber to their favourite songs and learnt some wonderful dance moves and choreography. On the last day, the group enthralled the audience by exhibiting their secret dance moves that they were working on for the last 3 weeks.

Fairy Garden

The students got closer to nature and learnt the importance of caring for their environment while planting seeds on their own and going on a nature walk to observe the different kinds of flora and fauna.

Mystery Master

To make sure that students do not forget their mathematical skills, concepts like times-tables and arithmetic were brushed with the help of fun-learning puzzles. Students had a lot of fun with numbers.

Recreation Games

The sports-based class gave the students to develop their ball playing skills through a variety of exciting games. This was one of their favourite activities where they burnt some excess energy and bonded as a team.

Fun English

Fun English was a game-based activity where students polished their English Language skills in an enjoyable way. Some of the favourite games were riddle hunt, blindfold game, and the spelling race.

Arts and Crafts

Students got creative as they put their artistic talents to good use on various mini projects and created beautiful pieces that they later displayed at home.

The camp offered the students an opportunity to learn outside the classroom as well as interact with children from different schools.
