Students amaze their teachers with brilliant marketing techniques during English Activity Week

Tokyo Campus, April 29, 2019

“It is not in the Stars to hold our Destiny but in ourselves.”

                                               - From the play, Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare

Language has now paved the way in impelling children to become innovators through their creativity, speech and entrepreneurial skills. These have, hence, epitomized GIIS’ GEMS of Academic excellence, Creativity and Innovation, Speech and Drama and Entrepreneurship skills.

GIIS, Tokyo students took part in the scheduled English Activity Week from April 22-26, 2019 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned English poet, playwright, William Shakespeare.

The students of primary classes (Grades 1-5) were amazed to know the many words coined by the prolific writer - words that continue to shape the English language.

Throughout the week the students took part in and enjoyed and appreciated the importance of the English language through various activities and competitions conducted.

One such interesting activity to mention was the Product Marketing activity titled - Thinker... Creator... Innovator...?

The little innovators of Grade 5 diligently marketed their dream products. One such innovative product was the ECO-Friendly Pencil made by Harithaalakshmi of Grade 5B, using seed capsules. Her USP (Unique Selling Proposition) was that once the paper-pencil is used completely, the seed capsules can be simply planted to give us the friends of nature; plants.
