GIIS Tokyo students prepare for "Seasonal Earthquakes" through EQ Drill

An Earthquake Drill is the most important school event featuring the largest earthquake drill in a year - it is organized to train students, parents and teachers to get ready for big earthquakes, and to prevent disasters from becoming catastrophes.

What we do to prepare now, before the big earthquake, will determine how well we can survive and recover. Earthquakes can happen anywhere you work, live, or travel, which is why everyone should know how to protect themselves.

The Drill was organized for NK Campus to Seishin Dai Ni on 30th Oct 2020.

Emergency alarm will be buzzard, after hearing the alarm student/teacher will duck under the table until the tremors stops. Then students will be asked to wear head gear and form a line to evacuate the campus to reach the evacuation center.

Drills are organized to train students, parents and teachers to get ready for big earthquakes, and to prevent disasters from becoming catastrophes.
