GIIS Tokyo’s Nishikasai Campus provides various activities under the CCA umbrella and to showcase said activities a CCA Open day was held for GIIS parents.

This event gave parents an insight into the various practical experiences that are received by students. The open house managed to showcase talents like singing, public speaking, and story narration. Activities like journalism, music, speech and drama, dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Bollywood, Hip hop, musical instruments like Guitar, Pianica, and Tabla, Creativity through art and crafts, paper folding and Calligraphy, Ikebana, Games like IGO and Karuta, Science experiments etc., helped achieve education along with overall functioning.  

These activities are conducted to guide students on how to organize and present themselves in front of an audience. Optimal training develops skills, cooperation, and coordination in different situations; thereby enhancing leadership qualities.

CCA activities also ensure that theoretical knowledge is strengthened, when a relevant co-curricular activity related to the content taught in the classroom, is organized. 

Philosophical aspects of personality are solely accomplished, while aesthetic development, character building, spiritual growth, physical growth, moral values, creativity etc., are supported by co-curricular activities. 

These activities support clarity in language and personality. It helps to develop coordination, adjustment, speech fluency, and expressions, among students at the elementary and high school levels.
